Art in Cartagena

After hanging around the boat for two days waiting for the Customs guy to come check us out, we finally got a chance to be tourists today. One of the things we really enjoyed was the abundance of art. Especially in the old section, there are sculptures and monuments everywhere. Here are just a few of the ones we saw today.
Pegasus

San Pedro Claver, "Slave to the Slaves" and first saint from the New World

Entrance to Centenario Park

Statue celebrating Pope John Paul II's 1986 visit to Cartagena

Simon Bolivar, Liberator of a Continent

Pedro de Heredia, founder of Cartagena de Indias
