The solar panel installation was surprisingly quick and easy and the panels are now fully functional.
We ran the cables down inside the dodger and through a cable clamp...
and down into this locker under the cockpit coaming. We were able to weasel it down and back to the lazarette (miracle of miracles) without drilling any holes! It just took a bit of head-scratching, a mirror, and an extra bit of wire to act as a fish line.
And we are happy to report that even yesterday with heavy overcast (leftover from Hermine), the panels were producing 6 and 7 amps. Its a beautiful clear day today, so we hope to see numbers in the 20s this afternoon.
